Find profitable options trades with this options analytics platform
The biggest bottleneck in options trading is discovering opportunities. We built the options trading app that solves this.

We all know retail participation in options trading has grown remarkably. Yet platforms and applications serving this market have struggled to keep pace, especially when it comes to helping traders identify lucrative opportunities.
Across millions of options contracts listed daily in the US, most brokerage tools and trading applications provide large limitations to search and filtering functions, typically reducing the viewable population to specific underlyings or expiration dates. For agnostic traders actively scanning for high-profitability setups, this creates a major bottleneck.
With the launch of OptiScan, that changes. Retail traders can now scan the entire options universe using their own metrics for successful setups, unlocking a powerful new way to discover opportunities beyond the constraints of traditional options trading platforms.
How it works
The new OptiScan options scanning tool can be found on the OptiView options trading platform on both Web and Mobile app. You do not need an account to access the basic features of OptiView. The tool consists of two primary components:
- A filter bar with pre-set toggles, option-specific filters, and underlying-specific filters. The bar is fully customizable, allowing users to tailor their screening criteria to their needs.
- A results table that displays all relevant options based on the filters applied by the user. The table is also fully customizable.
At the top of the table, labels dynamically indicate which filters have been applied. This allows users to easily track how the option population has been narrowed and quickly remove filters as needed.
By clicking View in Chart, you can import the desired option contract into OptiView's Strategy Builder and proceed with analyzing the options PNL under various underlying pricing scenarios. Or you can even build out the strategy more by adding additional legs!
Pre-set Toggles
Pre-set toggles are available for several key indicators. By enabling these filters, users can quickly narrow the option universe to contracts that exhibit specific characteristics, such as high liquidity, low implied volatility relative to realized volatility, pre-earnings expirations, or unusually high trading volume relative to historical levels. These toggles allow users to meaningfully reduce the population of options and focus on higher-quality trade candidates.
Option Filters
OptiScan offers an extensive range of option filters, organized into three primary categories: Basics, Volume, and Volatility. Available filters include, but are not limited to, net premium, days to expiration, the Greeks, delta per dollar, moneyness, implied volatility (IV), IV rank, open interest, and trading volume.
Underlying Filters
OptiScan also provides a variety of filters that can be applied to the underlying assets. These filters are grouped into two primary categories: Fundamentals and Technicals. They include, but are not limited to, sector, market capitalization, P/E ratio, days to earnings, and volatility skew.
Mobile & Web App Version
OptiScan is available on both web and mobile. With the recent launch of the OptiView mobile app, users can now access OptiScan on the go.
The mobile app includes all core functionality of the web platform, allowing users to apply filters through bottom-page navigation, view results in a table format, access additional details on selected contracts, and analyze options directly in the P&L visualization chart: the hallmark feature of the OptiView platform.
Future developments will further expand OptiScan's capabilities, enabling users to more easily sort through option pools and construct sophisticated multi-leg options strategies such as straddles, strangles, and spreads.
Data processing
For all the data geeks out there, you might already know that the OPRA consolidated feed is one of the largest market data feeds in the world. Delivering it to a broad audience with consistently low latency presents a significant technical challenge.
Until now, many have shied away from such a challenge, but OptiView meets this demand by processing millions of data points every second in real time. As part of its commercial OPRA redistribution license, OptiView is also able to provide complimentary 15-minute delayed data for all U.S.-listed options and equities.
By providing this rich dataset, we aim to significantly enhance the retail investor experience and help reign in a new era of options trading.
We look forward to hearing your feedback on OptiScan and hope you enjoy it as much as we did developing it!
