Building your first options strategy in OptiView involves selecting an underlying asset and composing option legs. You can construct and analyze multi-leg options strategies either from the Strategy Builder or Option Scanner pages.
Step-by-step: Using the Strategy Builder
- Open the OptiView platform and access the options Strategy Builder tool
- Select an underlying asset from the top left of the chart
- Add option legs by choosing buy or sell, call or put, strike price, and expiration date
- View simulated payoffs in the chart across different price scenarios
Step-by-step: Using the Option Scanner
- Open the OptiView platform and navigate to the Option Scanner
- Use filters to scan for option contracts matching your criteria
- Click "View in Chart" on a contract to import it into the Strategy Builder
- Add additional legs as needed, then view simulated payoffs in the chart

- Open the OptiView platform and access the options Strategy Builder tool
- Select an underlying asset from the top left of the chart
- Select the Strategy Assistant from the bottom right
- Choose your directional view of the underlying asset
- Choose over what time frame you think this directional move will materialize
- Select your goals which will return options based on these exposure preferences (optimized for Greeks)
- Review the list of options, and select one to proceed to "View in Chart"
