Where can I start building an options strategy in OptiView?

OptiView allows users to start building an options strategy from the Strategy Builder or Options Scanner. Users can select contracts and add them to the chart to construct and analyze single and multi-leg strategies with payoff simulation.

Where to start

  • Strategy Builder: Use the Strategy Builder and either add option legs in the Option Selector panel or select the Strategy Assistant for guided strategy building;
  • Option Scanner: Select a contract in the Options Scanner and click "View in Chart" to import it into the chart

Step-by-step: Build a strategy from the Strategy Builder

  1. Choose an underlying asset at the top left of the page
  2. Input the type, direction, strike and expiration date in the Selector panel
  3. Analyze the resulting payoff simulation and risk metrics in the chart by hovering over the content
  4. Alternatively, select the Strategy Assistant from the bottom right and proceed with guided strategy building
