What is the OptiView options chart?

The OptiView options chart is a strategy analysis tool that allows users to build options strategies and visualize payoff across different underlying prices. OptiView combines a strategy builder with an interactive chart to evaluate profit, loss, and risk scenarios.

Strategy builder

  • Build single-leg and multi-leg options strategies
  • View contract pricing, premiums, and total position cost
  • Modify strikes, expirations, and position size within the strategy
  • Send order instructions to a connected broker if enabled

Payoff chart

  • Visualize profit and loss across a range of underlying prices over time
  • Update payoff instantly when adjusting strikes or expirations
  • Identify breakeven points, max profit, and max loss
  • Analyze how different market scenarios affect the strategy outcome

How the chart updates

  • The OptiView chart initially displays the historical price of the selected underlying
  • After adding an option strategy, the chart adds payoff visualization based on the selected positions in the same chart and dimensions
  • The OptiView chart recalculates profit and loss dynamically as inputs are changed
