What is OptiView's Strategy Assistant?

OptiView's Strategy Assistant searches the option chain for contract combinations that match user-defined objectives and constraints. OptiView offers both a Basic and Advanced Assistant to guide you through constraint setting. In both modes, the Assistant returns a list of candidate strategies.

Basic Strategy Assistant

  • Input your directional view of the underlying: up, down or straight
  • Input the timeline on which you think this move will materialize
  • Select your generalized exposure preferences which represent which Greeks will be optimized
  • Review the results table and select a strategy to View in Chart

Advanced Strategy Assistant

  • Input constraints including expected return, min and max premium, credit or debit only, defined risk
  • Input max or min constraints on Greeks: delta, vega, theta, gamma
  • Input objectives i.e. risk adjustment, greek/$ targets
  • Review the results table and select a strategy to View in Chart
  • Requires a pro-subscription
