Why is the options scanner showing no results?
An options scanner usually shows no results because the selected filters are too restrictive, the symbol has no listed options, or pricing data is not currently available.
Common reasons no results appear
- The selected filters remove all matching contracts, such as narrow days-to-expiration, moneyness, or liquidity thresholds
- The underlying may not have listed options available in the platform
- The symbol may be entered incorrectly or may not be supported in the available dataset
- Illiquid contracts may be excluded because valid pricing data is missing
How to fix the issue
- Reset the filters and rerun the scan with broader criteria
- Check the underlying symbol in the chart or search interface
- Remove highly restrictive filters such as tight implied volatility or volume thresholds
- Test a widely traded underlying to determine whether the issue is filter-related or symbol-specific
How OptiView behaves
- OptiView only returns contracts that fit the active scan rules and available market data
- The options scanner is designed to help users narrow the listed options universe, so strict filters can easily produce an empty result set
- Users can refine scan logic iteratively to move from a broad universe to a targeted contract list
